1.在钢结构平台周边，钢架斜梯侧边以及因工艺要求不得通行地区的边界均应设置防护栏杆。工业钢平台和人行通道的栏杆应符合GB4053-3-83的要求。钢结构平台和钢架楼梯的栏杆可按国家标准图87J432选用。

2.工业钢结构平台栏杆的高度不应小于1050mm,对高空及生产危险地带(如高屋顶栏杆及高炉炉顶平台等)的栏杆高度宜采用12mm。

3.栏杆一般应设计成固定的，在有通行及操作特殊需要时，也可局部设计成活动的。固定栏杆可按在扶手处承受0.5KN/M的水平荷载计算，栏杆的连接宜采用焊接，可根据运输及安装条件由工厂分段制作后现场安装，也可在观场制作安装。

4.为保证安全，钢结构平台栏杆均须设置挡板(踢脚板)。档板用不小于100*3mm的扁钢制成。室外栏杆的挡板与平台面之间的间隙宜为10mm室内栏杆不宜留间隙。

5.按使用、强度及材料等条件，栏杆的扶手和立柱一般为选用外径为33.5-42.25mm的钢管或L50*4的角钢截面，栏杆立柱的间距不大于1m,并应采用不低干Q235钢的材料制成，栏杆的横杆用不小于-30*4mm的扁钢或16mm的圆钢制成，横杆与上下杆件之间的间距不大于380mm。
